Rates - Sessions are $28.00 for 30 minutes and are held weekly, paid for in advance for the amount of sessions per month.
One on one hour-long mentoring, songwriting and recording workshops are $45/hr, (includes g.s.t.) billed in advance monthly. I will only offer a one hour personal recording and collaborating slot if there is space and if I feel the student has advanced to the point of needing and wanting more time. I will also be offering group sessions! It's the biggest bang for your buck, and the student learns so much more than learning to play their instrument.
To summarize:
Single session - 30 minutes - $28
Single session (1 person) - 1 hour - $45
Group Session (2 people) - 30 minutes - $22 each
Group Session (2 people) - 1 hour - $35 each
Group Session (3 people or more) - 1 hour - $25 each
Live-streaming Video/Audio recording $100/hr
Private Recording
I get asked often if i do private recording sessions, and the answer is mostly no, sometimes yes. It kind of depends on the project and the particulars. Contact me directly for rates and options! My contact page is HERE
The Lessons
I offer lessons on guitar, bass and drums for beginner and intermediate levels at rates of $27 for 30 minutes. I play acoustic, electric, nylon and 12-string guitars, bass, keyboards and drums. I also offer songwriting lessons and guidance and due to the (awesome) nature of The Sound studio where I hold lessons and workshops, lots of other sounds are easily available and fun to make. Many times lessons morph into recording sessions where the student is learning while immersed in a recording project.

Practicing - Is a very important part of learning an instrument and engaging in music in general. I recommend students practice at least 30 minutes a day, either with instructions I have given them, or at the very least, exploring their instrument and making sound. Practicing should be a regimented activity, but not something the student considers a chore. The idea is that they commit to spending time with their instrument of choice, regardless on what they are instructed to practice - with the intent that if they "play around" long enough they will eventually crave some structure, come up with something unique or both. :)
Communication - Please ensure I have your current email address and phone number in my records. I welcome comments and questions about you or your child's progress.
Cancellation policy - You are welcome to "pay it forward" and give the session to a friend to explore music, if you can't make it, but I cannot cancel booked sessions, unfortunately. I will do my best to make exceptions in extreme cases or emergencies.
Non-payment - Refusal to pay outstanding tuition after two email reminders will result in cancellation of sessions.
Dismissal - I reserve the right to make the sole decision on ending lessons or musical engagement if I feel the student is not engaged or interested or any other reason. Sometimes playing music as a young person can be a "phase' of growing up and learning, and I am happy to be a part of their journey, however I do not want to waste my time, theirs, or your money if I feel they are not committed after a certain length of time.
Photo Release - By enrolling in the program you authorize me to use you or your child's photo and musical creations on this website. This helps in promotion, content and shares how awesome these kids are! I am very cautious and respectful with regards to internet safety, and am completely fine if you choose not to have your child's image or music featured on this site. Please let me know if that is the case, and I will respect your decision.
